The precocity of my offspring - 4

Yesterday my daughter started singing "Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, let it burn your body away, flatten the planet by it's enormous gravitational pull and destroy all life on earth!"

Well, her version is more accurate!

How delightful! From the mouths of babes and sucklings etc etc.

(Incidentally and embarrassingly, Mr Byard, I seem to have addressed you on more than one occasion as Mr Boyard. I can only assume that I am muddling you up with M. Charles Boyer, the matinee idol, bon viveur and friend of Maurice Chevalier. I do apologise).
Cordially etc
PS Do watch your apostrophes.

Bon vivant, surely?

Ma chere Madame Pouncer,
In my defence, I was transcribing my daughter's singing, and the apostrophe was clearly there when she sang it. I scolded her severely for it, of course. One must maintain standards.

Soz. Whatever.

There should be an apostrophe there - as it's a genitive - if there was any justice in the world of orthography. Your daughter is clearly better than all of us.
