One song in the style of another - 5

It's so obvious when you think about it - Messiaen's magnificent Turangalila symphony played Hank Marvin-style on an electric guitar with a tremolo arm.

Bless you! There's nothing that doesn't sound better hank'd. The link to the Joy of the blood of the stars on the right is also worth a spin.

Ahhhhhhh, perfect!! I've always maintained that the Turangalîla is the most universalist piece of music ever written. I reckon that a film in the style of Fritz Lang - black and white and without dialogue, of course - could be made to it without having to change a note.

There was something of the Hammond organ about the first one...

Boyo - Quite. Joy of the blood of the stars is the best musical depiction of good sex ever; a quality that regrettably gets lost in the Hanking, so to speak.

Gadjo - That's something I'd get on DVD...

Scarls - Why 'sob'? Or was that an acronym directed at me? Hammond organs are brilliant, especially when played by Jimmy Smith, Jack McVitie or Brian Auger.
